Website updates - new changes!

It's been a long time since the last update. I am so busy with work and targets and deadlines that I have barely had time to make a decent blog post in a while so the team has kindly requested me for an update. Here it is
- Fit-Box.com is getting a new design and many new design changes, code changes, site speed and site layout changes have all taken place. There is so much new code and our search rankings are all page #1 top 5 or 3 positions
- The product pages have a more simple way of adding products, making quantity, colour and shipping changes - prices are in real-time!
- All pages on our site are now in real-time and we have a new API which is going to be released late next year for affiliates and distributors.
- We're listed on Amazon and all the major external online retailers - we also have easter eggs on our sites - especially Fit-Box - not to spoil things but you will notice that coupons and hidden offers appear on certain actions on the sites!
I hope that gives you a solid look on what's happening and a bit about the future. The new sites and my.Fit-Equip are really getting positive feedback from customers.

New staff have been hired and today marks big changes including photoshoots, video shoots and new website and brand marketing campaigns going live before christmas! The Fit-Box team has come up with a new line of boxing equipment based on price and usage - at the same time we have not compromised design or quality. We created an Ultimate Range, a Club Pro range and a Club Range. The Club Pro and Club for your boxing clubs and home users. Whereas the Ultimate Range for your top of the line Olypmic level and elite wellness centre levels.
Our Fit-Box website has been showing artist impression on products for some time now - but we are happy to say the new range will be getting stocked up and ready for ordering - well before Christmas 2010!

Fit-Box-Zone - the portable boxing arena has gone live in the UK. This is an official newsfeed announcement for all the Fit-Equip-Network. To see the videos and check out the first report head over (click the image below) to the Fit-Box blog and check the videos hosted on YouTube.
The Fit-Box-Zone is aimed at changing the life's of young people in the UK. We want to reform the minds and physical state of our youth in the UK. Using fitness boxing and positive interaction in a fun and safe environment has had a magnitude of success on the youngsters involved in the first pilot programme. Check it out.

Fit-Commercial / Equip updates

More changes and updates on the Commercial fitness equipment site. Including new category images, better product descriptions, upgraded product images and a cleaner look and feel. We are working on the entire resistance section of the site and hoping to give it a complete different look - remember the words - each category will look completely different. What I want to acheive is to have a different feel to each area - resistance should reflect that and the other categories will look the same. Fit-Equip-Commercial and new brand packs coming out!

We are making some drastic changes to Fit-Commercial as promised, and have recently upgraded the first 10% of our site with regards to:
- - 1 - PageSpeed
- - 2 - Site Image Compression
- - 3 - Site Graphics and Navigation
- - 4 - Site Content
There are some more major changes on the way with Fit-Commercial including a new design of the product page with nice improvements for UX (User experience) and the general UI (User interface) will be revamped with the new brand look and feel - the slight change of brand IE the appeal this main corporate site is giving out. We are also introducing new colours and new steel on our products. Most clients are already upgrading and getting in the new machines. There is a huge difference in the some of the new range coming (excluding boxing which we will try to give you a hint later on - this week or next) so please don't depend on the site images as stated above we are changing and upgrading images. Branding and style for wellness from Fit-Equip Wellness will be launched soon - no further comments on this ATM.

Fit-Equip-Home and Fit-Home are no longer linking.

Several customer emails and client phone calls have triggered us to make an un-official notice of this issue. Fit-Equip-Home.com is no longer online - or so people are posting on the forums and blogosphere. Fit-Equip-Home is still online and still accepts orders 
. At this moment however, we have only removed the link from the Fit-Equip homepage. Old Fit-Equip content still has the link attached on our network bar. An example would be if you were to visit the existing directory. With regards to customers asking if we are going to continue to sell in the home fitness equipment and gym equipment range - yes, but for now we are revamping content, products, product designs and are going through all our site content starting with Fit-Equip-Commercial (Fit-Commercial). Updates to Commercial and Boxing sites!

New images have been added to Fit-Equip-Commercial.com 
You can see the latest change log here:
These are new products, manufactured in our UK plant and have been built this week (July 2010 week 4)
* We are actually upgrading all sites to suite the feel of this Fit-Equip site. So Fit-Equip-Commercial will be first and changes have started in the
Resistance category already.
We have also taken extensive code out of the Fit-Box including making drastic changes to the server so that the website is optimised for the search engines in terms of page speed. GZip and compression on the entire Fit-Box site. We are hoping for some ranking improvements aswell as a faster site for customer experience. The changes will be brought across to the entire network once completed.
Finally we will have a flash poll survey and the customer feedback form back live once again as traffic is spiking ATM.

HTML5 for Fit-Equip!

Official development of the HTML5 versions of all platforms on all the network has started. The media team will be updating people on twitter so you can follow up the beta layouts. Twitter will have links to the beta pages first. HTML5 has been chosen as the main platform as we can now code one piece of application body and have it applied to mobile devices at the touch of a button. We are Macromedia Flash friendly in the office so we will keep you updated on the Flash content of our sites - we want to keep it as much as you! At the same time we want to see it on our phones on the train and at work!
