PAGE INFORMATION

You will find the most common questions we get in regards to placing orders and common steps we tell customers with regards to using the site.


Site layout



The site is set up identical to the main Fit-Equip.com home site in order to incorporate our house style and the "Fit-Equip-One" single easy to use account system. Fit-Equip-Network site are all the same - including your Fit-Equip-Network account, the "one" account is used on all our services and apps. We have divided the site into different sections based on our old site, current web trends, user feedback and research taken for e-Commerce shopping sites. The layout is designed to be simple and quick in terms of of loading, navigation and buying. This is an e-Commerce site so its aim, is to sell. We have developed this site application to make this as simple and as quick as possible.

The navigation is all situated at the top, the left and the entire bottom of the site. This leaves the right section for content.

The site was programmed internally by our Web and Marketing team in ASP, ASP.NET, C#, PHP and of course xHTML and CSS. The site has been built and coded from scratch.

Navigating around



You have an advanced search engine at the top right of the page at your finger tips on every page. You have the left hand site product and category and sub category menu on every page, and you have a link to the sitemap on the bottom of every page.


An example of locating a punch bag in 3 clicks and taking less than 5 seconds. Step 1 is picking a category from the left hand menu, step two is selecting its sub category and step 3 is picking the product. HOME > CATEGORY > SUB CATEGORY > PRODUCT. The site has great breadcrumb system on the top of every page too, just so you can find your way again!


Buying a product - Step 1



On each product page (on all Fit-Equip-Network sites), in this case, we are taking the example of a Ladies Performance Pink Bag Mitt, you have the option to add a product to your shopping cart (Tip - we do take orders over the phone but promote the usage of the site first as its more of an automated process, for our systems, our couriers and yourself - and it keeps you updated via order tracking).


Each product page has a quick reference number, a SKU and product ID code, a gray box to indicate if the item is in stock, sometimes more personal options are activated when customers are logged on - register and find out! The page has the product price in bold red, and it always is followed by three boxes; Product Colour, Size and Quantity (Quantity can be changed in your basket at anytime).
The Product Colour, Size and Quantity options have to be selected before adding something to your card, regardless if the product has these options or not. If a product is only in Black for example, the form will either display Black as the only option or "N/A". How do I buy from the products page? How do I add a product to my cart?

To add the product to your cart, select the colour you want (some products may only have one colour option), choose the size and then the quantity and click the red add to basket button. Your page will animate, move to the top, and you will see a yellow box float into view to show you a confirmation:


You will have three options. Continue shopping, close the yellow box, or proceed to view the shopping cart and checkout.



In this example we will forget the other options and click checkout (Tip - Again this can be done anytime via the cart button on the top of every page. Simply click the box)



Buying a product - Step 2




Toggle the image by hovering your mouse over it to see the shopping cart key chart - The image is a little clustered and truly does not do justice to the cart system, the shopping cart is simple - Trust us.




Buying a product - Step 3




You need to login if you have not already done so or register if you are a first time customer. Now that you have added a product to your cart and you have chosen your quantity and any other branding/sizing options you can proceed to logging or registering. We did allow buying without registration but because it’s the same form, the same business process and for security reasons we require registration from all customers now - it's only a password field option on your end of things!




Buying a product - Step 4




Your registered details are loaded again - you just need to enter your name again for security (Tip - Enter it as exactly as it appears on your card to avoid any delays in security checks).


Buying a product - Step 5




Confirm your details on the payment page, agree to our terms and press payment... you will see the redirection page for a few moments to Protx (Paypal and Google Checkout and other payment services - depending on which you choose when pressing the Payment button)







Buying a product - Step 6



Once you have made the payment on the payment gateway, you will be returned to the success page:

Your order reference and tracking numbers and invoice reciepts will be on this page to print, we will also email you these and should you need to get this information again, just head to Fit-Equip.com/accounts and you will see all your order information including tracking information their to hand.




More tips (customer reviews)



It is advised that you try to read about the item description, the size of each item, and you can also view related products on the products page. Customers who have bought items with Fit-Box (used in this example) are allowed to place reviews on each item they have bought, this helps customers communicate with each other, share experiences and feedback. We like reading all reviews as it gives us another direct link to our customers and our brand. The reviews are great way to learn about items, other than product videos and pictures, they are equally great for getting some insight to the product brand range we have.
